Fulbright ambassadors share global cultures at Nebraska State Fair

Several cultures came together at the Fonner Park concourse to educate fairgoers at the Nebraska State Fair.

The concourse was filled with music, dance and culture as ambassadors from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Fulbright Association came together to share different parts of the world with fairgoers.

Organizers said the goal is for both students and fairgoers to learn about culture.

“We want to build bridges across cultures. We want to bring the world to Nebraska and have Nebraska learn about the world,” said organizer and ambassador from Tajikistan Parviz Jamalov.

During the event, 29 students from 19 countries brought a piece of their culture to booths across the concourse.
