Tabling and Booth Tips

1. Plan with Purpose

  • Think about why you are tabling: Are you recruiting new members? Are you promoting a big event?
  • Clearly define your goals.

2. Engage Your Current Network

  • Invite your current members, friends, and roommates to stop by and support your table.

3. Create an Approachable Space

  • Stand Up & Put Down the Phone! Engage with students who walk by—standing makes your table more inviting.
  • Reflect Your RSO & Its Purpose. Use your logo, past event photos, and signage to visually represent your organization.
  • Add Variety. Make your display visually appealing by using different heights for signs and marketing materials.

4. Make Your Table Interactive

  • Encourage Engagement. Find ways to make students stop and interact instead of just walking by.
  • Offer Giveaways. Small freebies like candy, stickers, or branded items can attract more visitors.

5. Connect & Build Relationships

  • Chat with Other RSOs. Get to know their members and collaborate when possible.
  • Make It Easy to Sign Up! Use a QR code to direct students to your NvolveU Portal for more information.
  • Follow Up with Prospective Members. Let them know when and where your meetings are held and provide additional details about your organization.
