Starting a new Recognized Student Organization (RSO)

Steps to Create a New RSO
  1. Schedule a quick introductory meeting, contact Mike Jackson or Isabella Flamel for more details.
  2. Create a Constitution. Your group will receive the Constitution Template at the introductory meeting.
  3. Two (2) of your RSO members - President and Primary Programmer - need to attend Annual Orientation.
  4. Your Treasurer will need to attend Treasurer Training.
  5. Begin looking for five (5) members and an Advisor to become members of your RSO.
  6. Create a free RSO lockup using UNL Lockup Factory.
  7. Submit your New RSO Registration Form on NvolveU to await approval by ASUN.

Once Your RSO Is Approved by ASUN
  1. Attend a Welcome Meeting at Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement (SLICE) office.
  2. Attend a Progress Check Meeting, usually 2-3 months after operating independently.
