A Budget Is:

Developing a Budget
- Begin planning at least a month before the fiscal year ends.
- Outline planned activities.
- Determine available funds and expected income.
- Research major expenses and assign responsibilities.
- Prioritize spending and adjust as needed.
- Finalize, review, and approve the budget.
Managing the Budget
- Maintain a minimum cash balance.
- Establish financial procedures and policies.
