Funding Opportunities for RSOs

For the 2025–2026 academic year, nearly $200,000 in grant funding is available to support RSO-led events, projects, and well-being initiatives.

Officers and leaders of Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) are encouraged to apply for these monies to expand their organization’s impact in the Husker community.

The Funds

UPC Nebraska

Fund Allocation Committee (FAC)

  • Who can request: any Recognized Student Organization (RSO) that is in compliance with the Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement office.
  • How funds can be used: To host an event or activity open to all UNL students to attend. 
  • Award amount: up to $1,500 per project request.
  • Deadline to apply: no later than 30 days prior to the event

ASUN Student Government

Equity Grant

  • Who can request: any Recognized Student Organization (RSO) that is in compliance with the Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement office.
  • How funds can be used: Student-led projects directed toward improving improving and advancing the overall campus climate.
  • Award amount: Award amounts vary. Up to $20,000 is awarded annually.
  • Deadline to apply: March 1 annually

Green Fund

  • Who can request: any Recognized Student Organization (RSO) that is in compliance with the Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement office.
  • How funds can be used: Student-led projects directed toward improving overall environmental sustainability on the university campus.
  • Award amount: Award amounts vary. Up to $10,000 is awarded annually.
  • Deadline to apply: March 1 annually

We Give Blood Grants: Recognized Student Organization Awards

  • Who can request: any Recognized Student Organization (RSO) that is in compliance with the Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement office.
  • How can it used:  For projects that directly support student or community health and well-being in the areas of emotional, physical, or social well-being.
  • Award amount: Award amounts vary. Minimum $500. Maximum $7,500.  A total of $150,000 will be awarded.
  • Deadline to apply: September 1, 2025 (preferred review); October 6, 2025 (final review)
