Alternative Spring Break Trips

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to pick just one?
Yes, each trip will occur during March 12-16, 2005.

How much does it cost?
The cost of any alternative spring break trip is $150. This is an all-inclusive fee—meals, lodging, and transportation are included. Individual fundraising is available at the participant’s discretion.

Can we do other things that are not planned in the itinerary?
Agencies are expecting you for a certain amount of time each day and it is important to stick to this schedule.

Are there any restrictions to applying to attend an Alternative Spring Break trip?
The only pre-requisite for an ASB trip is status as a UNL student. Applications will be reviewed and those chosen will be notified as soon as possible.

How many people are traveling on each trip?
For each trip there are nine student slots. Space is limited; consideration will be given on a first come, first served policy.

Who are the trip leaders?
Trip leaders have been chosen from faculty/staff and graduate students at UNL. Each trip leader has been interviewed and approved by the trip coordinator.

Where will we stay?
Accommodations will be made to ensure a safe place to sleep each night. Each participant should bring his/her own sleeping bag and pillow as accommodations may change each evening.

How many people are going?
Twenty-six participants and four trip leaders will attend three different trips. Selection by application will be done on a first come, first served basis.
