Service-Learning: Community Challenge

Are you up for the Challenge?

Community Challenges are one-time volunteer opportunities, sponsored by Student Involvement, that are organized for students in conjunction with local agencies in need. Community Challenges are offered throughout the semester and require a 2 to 4 hour commitment from participants. Sign up for a Challenge that fits your schedule--no long-term commitment is required. It's that easy!

Why should you take the Challenge?

  • You’ll make a difference in your community
  • It’s an easy way to volunteer. All you have to do is show up; Student Involvement takes care of the rest!
  • Volunteer experience is a great way to develop your resume.
  • A Service Transcript that records your volunteer hours will be created for you in Student Involvement.
  • You’ll meet other students who are volunteering with you.
  • You’ll learn more about local community issues.
