Recognized Student Organization Travel
Often times, Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) find themselves planning trips from field trips in and near Lincoln to national conferences. RSO travel can take on a number of variations. There are several things to think about when planning an RSO travel event. It is important to consider the following things before going to the Student Involvement office for an Event Planning and Registration (EPR) consultation:
- Where is the RSO going?
- What dates will the RSO be traveling?
- How is the RSO reaching its destination?
- How will the RSO pay for this travel? (SOFS account, personal contributions, etc)
- How many RSO members will be traveling?
When a Recognized Student Organization (RSO) has answered all of these questions, an Event Planning and Registration (EPR) form must be started by a Student Organizations staff member for the event. In order for the RSO event to be a recognized RSO travel event, the EPR form must be completed and appropriate signatures obtained and submitted to Student Involvement for final approval. The following sections detail the Travel Insurance policy, payment options and means of transportation available to RSOs when traveling.
