Student Involvement

Student Organizations

Using UNL Logos

The majority of Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) and other student organizations are not required to use the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Design Standards Toolbox. Those who are not required to use Toolbox Design Standards may use the University’s registered trademark logos or web templates in their publicity materials if they desire. However, they must use the logo files provided by the University and follow all of the relevant design standards, both of which can be found here: http://www.unl.edu/ucomm/ucomm/toolbox.shtml.

RSOs and other student organizations who are required to follow the University’s Design Standards Toolbox must use the logo files provided by the University and follow all of the relevant design standards. Organizations required to follow design standards are:
  • Those who have a significant academic identification, such as a club sponsored by an academic department, or share the name of an academic department or discipline (such as The Biochemistry Club or the Undergraduate English Organization.)
  • Those who are funded from the general operating budget rather than student fees.
