Information Strategies: Marketing

Who are we?

Are we a group of ravage flying monkeys? (Possibly.) No, in reality the marketing team within Information Strategies is a dynamic group of individuals who crave finding solutions to our clients' marketing dilemmas. We use our diverse backgrounds and roles within the University, to pinpoint the directions to take our clients' promotional campaigns.

Marketing majors conduct market research, write marketing plans, and work with the creative team to implement campaigns.

Who are our clients?

Student Involvement Information Strategies serves all the different program areas of Student Involvement as well as the Nebraska Unions.

The process

Every campaign within Information Strategies is developed through a standard process:

  1. Build a Strategic Platform determining a client’s promotional issues, objectives for a campaign, primary audience, core message, position, and current marketing situation.
  2. Immerse ourselves in the culture and identity of the client.  We do not simply want to know the client; we want to be the client.
  3. Begin preliminary research into the situation surrounding the client.
  4. Set our creative engines to warp to discover the BIG IDEA for the campaign.
  5. Construct a promotional campaign using a uniquely refined method to strategically reach the targeted audience.
