  • Written and verbal skills: The ability to write business letters and memos clearly and concisely; the ability to express ideas verbally.

  • Basic computer skills: The ability to use the internet to locate resources and maintain communication, as well as possess basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Managing volunteers (individually and in groups): The ability to motivate people to accomplish tasks and stay committed to projects.


  • Managing projects/Event planning: The ability to keep track of details, establish and maintain communication among project workers, and follow through with all aspects from planning to evaluation.

  • East Campus Programs - supervision and event planning for the Student Involvement East Campus office
  • Gender Related Programs - coordinate individual and group counseling programs and assist with programs in the Women's Center (Doctorate level preferred in Counseling Psychology)
  • Information Strategies - assist with the marketing and promotion of Student Involvement programs and activities
  • Leadership Programs - develop and coordinate the Emerging Leader Class or LeaderShape Nebraska
  • Midwest Consortium Grant A - research community needs, communicate with participating institutions
  • Midwest Consortium Grant B - research, organize, design of Midwest Consortium website
  • Student Organization & Activity Resources - provide support services/programs for student organizations and advisors
  • University Program Council A - assist the University Program Council (UPC) through advising, event supervision and training; coordinate scheduling for the Rotunda Gallery
  • University Program Council B - assist the University Program Council (UPC) through advising, event supervision and training; coordinate University Night Life programming
  • Violence Against Women on Campus Project - assist with the coordination of programs for violence prevention and services for victims of sexual assault, stalking and domestic violence
  • Volunteer Service Learning - coordinate programs in volunteer service and service learning
