Men's Programs: Providing tools for men to lead successful lives.

Leadership

Men's Advisory Group

The Men's Programs advisory group is a student-lead group that meets regularly to discuss men's issues and put on events to address these issues. All UNL students are welcome. Participation in the group is an excellent opportunity for service and leadership. If you have an idea for a program or want to help plan or put on men's programs, considering joining!

Saturday Service Project

Take action, have fun, and use your strengths to help others. Join Jeff (Men’s Programs Coordinator) for a few hours of service work the first Saturday of each month and stick around for burgers and brats afterward.

Wellness

Movie Night with Jeff

Men’s Programs Coordinator Jeff will be showing a movie each month. Come watch, eat popcorn, and meet people. September’s movie is “Tough Guise.” Second Monday of each month, 7-8pm, Nebraska Union 338.

Courage Seminar

Be a man of courage. Learn about the different types of courage and how you can use them in your life. Tuesday September 27th, 5pm, Nebraska Union (room posted).

Counseling

Looking to get a little more out of your life and relationships? Want to reorganize or make improvements to some aspect of your life? Facing major life difficulties? Men's Programs offers free, confidential counseling by professional counselors. With life's increasing demands, it's easy for men (and women) to suffer the consequences of pressure and stress. Contact the Counseling Coordinator, Belinda Hinojos, at 472-9428 for more information about counseling or to set up a consultation.

Communication Skills

Can You Hear Me Now?

Public speaking is scary and private speaking can be worse. Build your communication skills with family, friends, and partners. Tuesday September 20th, 5pm, Nebraska Union (room posted).
