Fashion’s Night Out is an unprecedented global initiative created in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, boost the industry’s economy during the recession, and put the fun back in shopping! In the United States, the program is a collaboration between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York.
Fashion’s Night Out Lincoln, locally presented by the University Program Council, will feature work from local designers as well as runway shows live-streamed from New York City. Local boutiques will also be in attendance exhibiting their collections and offering giveaways and drawings for Lincoln’s fashionistas. Fashion’s Night out will take place September 6, 2012 in the Nebraska Union Centennial Room. The event will run from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m and admission is free for all UNL students, faculty, staff and the Lincoln Community.
